O Central - Barrancos

The restaurant is really chic and contemporary in design. It feels like eating in a restaurant rather than the cafe type establishments. We ate on a Thursday evening and were the only diners in there so as you can imagine, there was no atmosphere as such. The waiter was very nice, but there were a number of dishes unavailable and even the potato gratin which accompanied my meal was not available so all meals were served with chips. We ordered a mojito but they didn’t have the ingredients and we also ordered a bottle of Mateus rose and even that was unavailable really!? The food was ok I ordered the surf and turf my steak was a little tough and the veg quite salty and garlicky but that might be personal taste. All in all a rather lacklustre experience for us.
