The Civil - Baltimore

This place so so homey and tasty! It truly feels like your auntie is serving you from start to finish. The service was great everyone strikes up a conversation with you. My favorite were the crabby fries it has such a rich taste and the fries to crab ratio was phenomenal. We went on a Sunday and did their AYCE brunch buffet. It had many breakfast options (eggs, cheesy eggs, pancakes/ waffles/ toast, biscuits gravy, breakfast meats, southern classics like bbq chicken, fried chicken, macaroni pasta salad) 100% will visit again when I visit Baltimore.

If I could give no stars I would have. I visited the civil tonight with my family from out of town. The live band was amazing. Atmosphere was nice everything else not so much. The General Manager Anthony explained to us after waiting 2 hours with no drinks and no food that he was doing the best he could. When asked if we could even have water he told us that he could not do that either. He also told us that if we had a problem with the service we should go elsewhere to enjoy our night. This place would be a very nice place if they had better management and organization. In the end Anthony decided he would be generous and “comp” the bill well Anthony water was free the last time I checked.

Everything was horrible. From the food to the service. And for the prices you would think that the food would be fresh. My wings were made yesterday and fried again. Then I asked them to remake them cause they were so dry and burnt. They remade and they came out the same way dry and burnt. Same goes for the greens and Mac and cheese. But how can you mess up a side Cesar salad. We were the only table in the restaurant besides her children and the service was so slow. But when you charge 20% gratuity you can give any kind of service. I'm a foodie and we will never come back. We waited at least 15 minutes for our check. We walked to the counter because I wasn't gonna wait another minute. Don't waste your time. Better off going to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Black owned and loved the atmosphere. The food was amazing, I got the j lamb chops and the wife got the stuffed chicken. Would have gave 5 stars but the wait on our drinks was a little long, and they where a little watered down. Still a must try.
