Main Street Cafe - Balsam Lake

Great breakfasts... great service... always laughter and smiles. This is what the heart of a small town is all about!

When we arrived, all the open tables were full of dirty dishes. Sat down at a table which was finally cleaned off after about 10-15 minutes. Got our food in about an hour, minus my daughter 's blueberry pancake-which was forgotten. They told her it would be out soon after she had to walk up to the front to ask our waitress--which was another full 20 minutes...and was served a plain pancake, not a blueberry one. I ordered the all you can eat pancakes, which was 2 pancakes...and no offer of more, nor a waitress checking to see how things were. There are 9 tables in the entire place; and two waitresses working. We 've been here several times, but we will not be back. The table next to us was never cleaned off in the hour and 45 minutes we were there. On the plus side, the food was very good if you have all day to waste.

The restaurant offers excellent service, delicious food at affordable prices, and is very clean unlike many other establishments.

The breakfast at this restaurant is fantastic, with exceptional service from the waitstaff and talented cooking from the chef. You must try it at least once, as you will surely want to return.

Awesome people, delicious food, and The Pontoon!! The homemade dishes are seriously fantastic. The staff is amazing and very friendly. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area!!
