Willows Catering - ASBURY

First of all, let me start by saying that if I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. We ordered crispy naked wings with the sauce on the side, along with a few appetizer drinks. The wings were prepared as requested and were very tasty. However, our main courses - a French dip and a special double burger - were a different story. The French dip was dry and gray, which was a first for me. The burger, ordered medium rare, came out almost well done. When we informed our waitress, she notified the owner who was nearby, but he did not acknowledge the issue or offer any apology or compensation. Our waitress Wendy was the only positive aspect of our experience, as she was kind and apologetic despite the owner's lack of concern. Although the food was disappointing, we may consider returning for drinks and wings in the future, as options in Warren county are limited.

Willows has reopened with the old owner but a new manager. The waitress was excellent and very nice. The atmosphere of the place has remained the same. I ordered the chili, which was $8 for a small cup that was very small. It was thick with meat and beans but lacking in sauce, so I had to send it back. I then tried the meatballs with a 3 cheese fondue, but the meatballs were very tough and the fondue tasted terrible and did not complement the red Italian sauce. On the bright side, the wings were good and the mushroom on the crostini was very tasty. A friend ordered a hamburger without the bun but with added bacon and onions, which ended up costing him $22.

Excellent dinner. Cocktails, appetizers (chili, stuffed tater tots, calamari), main dish (I got the Cowboy burger) and dessert (lava cake) were fabulous. And the waitress was so kind and attentive. Would definitely return! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Had an absolute amazing experience! Service was fantastic very attentive. The food was delicious. Will absolutely be going back.
