Mathura Indian - Albany

Delicious meal! And good customer service.I love Indian food and my go to is Lamb Biryani. I have had lamb biryani in different cities across USA and I can tell you that the chef at mathura nailed it. So yummy.I also ordered Mango smoothie with yogurt and crepe and they were really good and fresh. I will be a return customer next time I am in town.5 start for food5 stars for service2 start for toilet location and cleanness(Toilet could be cleaner and in a better location)

This was a random lunch spot on the way home from ommegand. We saw Avett brothers. Absolutely delicious food and we ate dal takda, Channa masala, a cauliflower appetizer and mulligatawny soup. The soup was too spicy for me but I'm wimpy. Also the best roti I've ever had.

Overall it was good food. I had seen that they had recently opened, and I had been wanting to try it out. The reviews looked good. I went with a friend to try out the food. I chose some dishes that I knew she had not tried before. I ordered a chicken tikka masala and masala dosa. Do chicken tikka masala was medium. I did not find it spicy. I might try it a little spicier next time. The dosa was overall okay. A bit too crispy. That level where you try and tear it and it crumbles. It did make it harder to put the masala into the dosa with the chutneys. As we continued, we tried to eat what we could. We had recently finished when the possible owner let us know that he needed the table for people that were waiting. It was interesting since we saw two other tables empty. Perhaps it was a large group waiting to come in. We took the leftovers after paying and we left. I'm not sure where these other people were since there was nobody else outside. Maybe a reservation? The food was good enough that if I am nearby and want some Indian food, I could stop by. For those who do not want to dine in, it seems they have a very busy takeout service as well.

Amazing food for the price. In the Hudson Valley I'm used to paying minimum $10 more per dish for that quality of food. I couldn't take any pictures because I demolished everything. The one complaint I have, is the waiting time. But at least they're honest about it taking 30 minutes, and the quality is also worth the wait. Plus good food takes time to make.
