Used to love you guys from when you opened up on lark street even though the wait was crazy I didn’t mind because the food was delicious and filling!! Then when you guys moved to central I ordered from there and had a bad experience and it blew me off from wanting to order from you guys. I came in ordered and was told 30 minutes which is typical and I didn’t mind. I came back my order still wasn’t ready and I was asked again how I wanted my steak so I was confused because I had a slip that said well done and what sides I wanted but I brushed it off . I was told by the cashier you guys had so many orders and mines got lost in translation somehow and you came up also and I should of came in early if I wanted my steak well done which i did my order just didn’t get made for some reason , fine ish happens and I’m understanding but not understanding to me spending my hard earned to be told I can’t get my food how I wanted it to be !! So I was looking for something to eat tonight and I thought oh you guys are opened again let me give you a chance again , when I walked I was amazed because it was so beautiful inside and a big step up from lark and central !! The person that took my order was amazing also . I get home I slam my meal and my mom and daughter are slamming theirs too !! My mom loves your husbands cooking hands she’s could tell who was cooking the string beans when you guys were located on lark street , and my daughters father also worked for you guys also at the lark location . My daughter was eating her chicken and she just came in the room to tell me that there was hair in her food , like a big clump of brown hair after she devoured majority of her food and honestly she just puked everywhere . I wish you the best in your further endeavors but definitely won’t be back after this one this was a DEAL BREAKER FOR ME!!!! Also the yams were definitely out of a can ??????

First time visit. Had the fried chicken wings and they were excellent. The macaroni and cheese did have a spice to them, but very good. My son loved the mashed potatoes and gravy. My husband had the fried fish and he said that was also very tasty and not greasy at all. All the sides were very tasty. We thought the choice of the different pineapple and ginger teas were nice. The service was excellent and people very friendly. The prices were very good for the quality of food and generous portions.

We got takeout and it was so good that I had my husband get it a second night in a row because it was so good we wanted to try more dishes. My husband got the fried fish, his portion was massive. The lamb chops were meat flavor bombs. The mac and cheese and collards were even better than imagined. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be ordering again and again!

New location a little far from home but decided to go.Ordered the baked turkey wings, greens and sweet potatoes. Food was actually tasty. The turkey wings were baked to the perfect fall off the bone stage. Greens had a nice flavor and the sweet potatoes tasted similar to how I make them.Daughter got the fried salmon (crunchy and tasty), Mac and cheese (felt it was missing something and not very cheesy) and greens.Went back a second time and ordered the turkey wings, rice n beans and greens. Wings and greens were still consistent. Rice and beans were good.Will go back when I need my turkey wing fix.

I was very happy with the food here. The lady at the register was super nice and recommended the fried chicken and collard greens and I got the mashed potatoes too and it was delightful! Definitely great chicken. It also came with this hot sauce that was really good too. Clean inside, the staff was all nice, and the food was great. I will definitely be going back
