Bidra med feedbackWe came to this place recommended by friends and were not disappointed. They have limited access, sanitation points and open spaces for the clients, which is good. The good: Food is amazing and well-priced. The vibe is not as with many seafood restaurants, where you...have a band playing away from you, there's lots of shifty individuals with armored cars and bodyguards and you can't even hear each other on top of all the noise. This was a relaxed place with soft music in the background. The bad: The restaurant is right off the highway, so no lake views to enjoy Overall very good. Will definitely come back
It was our first time. We went for breakfast as there always seem to be cars. I ordered the light breakfast scrambled eggs with spinach cherry tomatoes and cheese with an English muffin. Well my eggs were swimming in a puddle of water released from...the spinach. The English muffin was very bland as were the eggs. No butter so they cook with something else?? Tiny little paper napkins and very weak cheap coffee. No espresso. On the positive side the covered patio seating very nice and very good service , the best part.
We love this place. The restaurant is large and with a huge patio. It is on the carretera but it is lower and not very close so there is very little road noise. The service is very attentive. I ALWAYS get the shrimp with diabla...sauce. It is spicy and very flavorful. Then I get some fish ceviche to go and that gives two meals for the liter. And we can easily walk to it. It is well worth the short drive west of Ajijic for those who live in town,
Having passed this restaurant on numerous occasions, we finally decided to have lunch there. First impressions were that it was a very basic restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, set back a bit from the Carretera so that traffic noise was mostly not a...big distraction. Also, as a “value indicator” it was patronized by a large number of local families. The extensive menu featured both fish filets and shrimps prepared in various ways, priced about the same as other Ajijic eateries. We both ordered the filet of dorado, which was grilled quite close to where we sat fresh, nicely seasoned and served with fresh tortillas, salad and rice. My “cucaracha” was quite spicy and may be too hot for some tastes. Cash only, but parking is not a problem. We plan to return to sample other dishes. AivarsT
Outside seating, really flavorful sauce' on the Mexican shrimp cocktail. Try the specials of the day and the margaritas.
