University of Zurich Irchel restaurant

This is a very good place to eat! If I hear surprise because I am. My memory of the university dinner in 1963 was terrible in every way. This place offers a variety of meals at very, very affordable prices. Something for everyone. It is clean, bright... and offers seating in indoor and outdoor areas. We're leaving.

I remember eating in the student cafés at the University of Texas Campus in Austin... this food is better! And it's a student square... expect You do not eat fine, but you get high quality food, nicely served at a very reasonable price. It's just... about the way from our apartment, so we occasionally come here and we've never been disappointed.

If I have to eat there, I'll take the salad bar. It's cheaper than the ETHZ Mensa. It would be nice to bring back the salmon and hamburger sandwiches, the new sandwiches are too strange for me.

Only recently discovered that this was open to non-students, you simply pay a higher rate for the food. But a great buffet with a rotating selection of dishes and a large salad bar. Good food, good value, and always a cuddly crowd.
