Bidra med feedbackI used to live in Zurich 20 years ago and I still love this place. It's on the 5th floor of Manor on the Bahnhofstr. There is so much choice - it's a sort of self-service buffet restaurant where most things are sold by the size of plate.Breakfast is 6 francs and you can you get 6 hot/cold items, plus a free hot drink. Lunch selection includes salad bar, meat/fish fried at the grill, pasta bar, veggie bar, juice bar, fruit salad bar, Movenpick icecream, cakes/patisserie etc. All very good value for Zurich prices and all so fresh.
Never fails for a good affordable meal, which is hard to come by in Zurich. The Zurich store has a pleasant outdoor terrace. A fish dish with all the sides and salad you can pile on a plate cost me 16CHF. Plus they have the closest thing to real iced tea in Switzerland. If it's dinner, however, then it has to be an early dinner. By 7PM they start closing down stations, and by 8PM they're closed.
This is a typical Swiss Pasta- Bacon dish, they can either do correctly or serve a cheap convenience concoction. Manora and this is amazing for an eatery in a department-store -show cooks for fresh a la Minute with a resulting creamy dish - just as it should be. I am tempted to give 5 stars however the smaller portion is for the price of CHF 9.90 in comparison to the full portion for CHF 13.20 a tad too small. In General Manora is high quality food most of it organic, a great place for eating with a view at not cheap but decent prices on Zurichs Bahnhofstrasse.
Best bargain as to good quality for less cost as well as timely self served food with good variety and an air sympa..shopping there before or after the meal is not a bad idea either if you need something badly that you must buy it in Zürich, as it is situated on top of the least expensive Swiss department store.. would highly recommend breakfast there as well as lunch.. has an open terrace as well.
This 5th floor à la carte style cafeteria eatery, exceeded my expectations with both quality and price. Walking around, the food all looked incredible. I enjoyed a healthy breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, croissant, cheese, grilled potatoes and a huge bowl of fresh fruit and melon. There were two of us and we enjoyed a coffee as well for a total of 25 CHF. We ate outdoors overlooking the Bahnhofstrasse with amazing views of the city. We enjoyed it so much we grabbed gorgeous artisan sandwiches for our road trip ahead which were to die for. Definitely a great place for breakfast and lunch in Zurich.
