Bidra med feedbackI almost didn't write this review in a fit of selfishness as it's quite small and fills up quickly. The outside is a little off putting but ignore it. The place is run single handed (on the service side at least) by a charming waiter named Max who appears to speak at least four languages fluently. The food is top rate and it's really good value in an area famed for its expensive eateries. Max makes you feel welcome despite running around at top speed to get everything done. I would go before 8pm as we have frequently seen people turned away after that as its full.
We did eat again in A Strada. Every time the taste of the menu is excellent. I had a bavette en enchalotte and my wife had the sanglier with polenta. It is a feast to dinner here. Good taste of all the food. Patricia the chef is from heaven. And the service is perfect. Fast en accurate. If you go to a restaurant in the this area: go to A Strada. We come in this testaurant alteady more than 20 years. They never disappointed us.
I agree with all excellent reviews before me. Very well prepared food all with fresh ingrediënts. Very nice outdoor terrace and good service for a fair price. Recommended!
Excellent home cooking with fresh local produces. Lovely outside seating area, fantastic waiter, and great food. Serves mostly local residents. It gives a marvelous sense of the friendliness of the local people and a great taste of the local cuisine.
We have had dinner for serveral times in this good restaurant. And every time we are amazed about the constant quality of the food. Don 't worry about the interior of the restaurant. It is cosy and in the winter you can sit near the fireplace. In summer there is a nice terrace under the Muriël Platanes . The food is really good. The chef Patricia delivers exellent food. Max the server is very fast in serving and works hard to feel you comfortable. We (my daughter and I) did try the Bavette en echalotte : nice peace of meat with a sauce of red wine and echalottes. Beside this: tarte de courgette and gratin de pomme. My wife tried the Magret de Canard with a sauce made from honey and fiques: excellent! There is a menu or a blackboard with the dishes of the day. You find here sometimes nice pasta dishes or salmon with courgette. Sometimes Patricia makes Corsican dishes as Sanglier, Eggplant Casarolle or Fishsoup. For the desert Max will tell you what they will have this day. A pichet rosé you 'll get for a reasonable price. For me this is a restaurant where I will come more times. We are very often on Corsica. There are not much restaurants open in the wintertime. A Strada is open the whole year except on monday. This restaurant is a must in this region.
