It is a countryside trattoria, hence furniture and whole place perfectly reflects Italian atmosphere and style, you can feel as if you were Italian yourself. Menu is wide and there are plenty of pasta dishes to choose from. Moreover, since this place is kind of on the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, so dishes from both cuisines are represented. I had a chance to taste tortelli di zucca (one type of pasta filled with pumpkin) with Modena vinegar and it was an extraordinary meal! I could feel that pasta was freshly made and all ingredients were of high quality. We also ordered costata di Fiorentina with truffles. To be honest, it was the best meat I have ever eaten. Apart from food being delicious, portions are also bigger than average. Overall, it is definitely a place to go to if one is looking for a great food and prices that do not bite.
Don't let the translation of the trattoria name stop you from going we had the tastiest meat dishes of our holiday here. Not reading or speaking Italian we used a translation app to tell us what to order. We plumped for mixed grill. Unlike UK mixed grills which bury the meat under salad, onion rings and other bits and bobs, this was simply beautifully cooked and flavoured cuts of meat together with a delicious local sausage. We were stuffed to say the least, and are so grateful for the recommendation from the local B&B we were staying in. Pricewise, it cost exactly what our local pub at home charges.
Great food , service, very reasonably priced. Traditional food . Packed with locals, which is always a good sign. Would definitely recommend
