Alpenhotel ... Fall in Love Restaurant

We fancied a night out from our hotel and were interested in a fondue but not many restaurants seem to offer this. However the Alpenhotel obliged. Our waiter went out of his way to make everything right and if anything we had too much steak...and chicken! Great way to end our holiday.

There was a set menu each evening....the Gala evening was the best. There was a choice each evening of appetizer, palate cleanser, main dish and dessert. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

We were there for our first dinner for our winter trip. It was a pre-booked thing but ended up with very unpleasant experience. It seemed there's only one waitress running the whole restaurant. There's discrepancy on the orders but not sure why it took so...long to resolve, and our leader need to follow up many times for the orders. We waited more than one hour for the food and when the food served, it was just a very simple noodle with tomato sauce with minimum ingredients, and the portions were miserably small. It's the worst restaurant for us for this trip in-terms of service and food standard, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

In her alpenlove brasserie bar was the worst service I ever met in Austria. we wait for a waiter in an empty restaurant for minutes, then she came with furious face, we can ask her please clean her the table, she didn't answer and...went away. and we couldn't sit on any table, as all the tables were directed with dirty. terrible devices! They should change the waiters because of them the owners have missed profit.

Here for a souvenir, coffee and a gin and tonic. coffee moderately, and gin with gurke sponge. our sundaes finally arrived and were half melted and saw nothing like the pictures in the shiny broochure. when we asked about the bill we realized, we were charged for a double-gin. After we asked this, we were told that we had it, so we had to pay for it! very expensive. much prefers the caffe over the street.
