Even after a determined strenuous high season even now in low season a very good service and very good food in a very well maintained ambience! That's all. Quality is always worth its price. Go on!

On Friday we wanted to drink coffee in the Preussenhof, on our polite question, we were answered in an extremely unfriendly and pampy way that there was 17.00 and there is no more coffee. We could have been there ten minutes earlier. This may also mean that the cake is served in the next days until it is all or it is so dry that guests have to choke it down because there is no coffee. We have always been very happy to have been a guest there for many years. Apparently, the Preussenhof did not have to try for potential guests.

Although the reviews we had read before did not sound very convincing, we decided for a dinner at the museum café and were completely positively surprised. Obviously, many reviews are outdated because this restaurant was really excellent. In a beautiful, noble ambience overlooking the Baltic Sea and the promenade we were served very friendly and welcoming, and the food tasted wonderful! The map is by no means overloaded in our eyes another plus for the restaurant and yet there is something for every taste. From fish and meat to vegetarian dishes to extremely tasty sweets, everything is there! We will definitely go back to the museum café when our path leads us to Usedom the next time.

Today at 17:30 after a long walk, they wanted to drink a coffee before their home trip. We were then asked by a lady if we had a reservation and was laughed at our negation with the words stupid. It was a single table. On our addition that we only want to drink a coffee for a short time, we were sent away with the answer that there would be no more coffee anyway. For a noble institution like the museum café I would have expected absolutely another service level, very disappointing and unprofessional!
