Restaurant La Galeana - ZIHUATANEJO

The owner, cook and all around person at Mariscos Galeana is Miguel. The restaurant itself is tiny 6 tables however while we were there only 1 was vacant. The food was delicious and cooked fresh to order. Well worth the search to locate this restaurant. It is about half a block East of the basketball court located on the beach in Zihua.

Miguel and his staff made it such a delightful evening! Open for lunch and dinner. The margaritas were the best we’ve had, so far! Great location. Can hardly wait to go back! P.S. don’t miss out on the wonderful guacamole!

Limited choices from this small kitchen. I recommend the Mahi Mah. Delicious and so inexpensive. Not much for atmosphere the food is excellent.

We went to La Galeana with reservations for a party of 8. When we arrived, the meseros/waiters had no record of our reservation even though 2 from our party had stopped in the morning to remind/verify the dinner reservation. Appetizers were good, but drinks were slow in arriving, and we were informed that only cerveza/beer qualified for hora feliz/happy hour, though that, too, was confirmed that morning. Entrees were slow. In fact, my poor husband, finally got his pulpo enamorado just as everyone else was finishing up. Bathrooms were tacky...mouse droppings everywhere and no paper towels. Egad!!!

Great shrimp combination plates. Or try the breaded fish burger. it not on the menu) Miguel and his staff are, eager to please. Good food at a great price. We always eat here a few times during the month of January.
