Chatterbox Cafe - Zephyrhills

Very good food and a nice place. Super affordable, the prices of 1990. Pommes were good at home and eggs were perfectly cooked. Definitely will be back for breakfast. Coffee leaves much to wish, very weak, but some people like it. Could also use a small cleaning around the edges. Nevertheless, we loved our visit and we were made to feel welcome. I don't understand that a few previous reviews say that the food was bad. It's just simple eating as you might make at home, but so you don't have to do the work and cleaning.

What am I supposed to say about The Chatterbox Cafe? Hard choice, whether to give 4 or 5 stars, here's why... There are no ruffles, no thrills, no eating, no imagination; only good HOT breakfast scrub. Why 5 stars with a small and limited menu? Because it is designed to push a lot of food with a speed and bring it to you while still steam. The place is small, but by the big stands it does not create, you feel like packed in sardines, like so many other places around. They're just cash, and that's partly how they manage to keep prices as low, and I mean LOW. We had 3 meals (2 eggs, potatoes or meal, bacon or sausage, and toast)x2; fried steak with 2 eggs; split an order of 2 cookies and Gravy; and added 1 pancakes... the total was less than $24 and coffee is free with meals. This would have been $40.00 in every chain restaurant and probably 1/2 the food would be cold. If you wonder how it might be so cheap, another factor to keep prices so low, it is designed to run with 3 people even at maximum capacity. A bus, a server that transfers every table a few minutes through the layout, and 1 chef who is also the owner. They're in and out fast so that tables turn around pretty fast. Try to remember bringing cash. You have opened 22 years so they definitely do it right

Great breakfast and great value. I never had a bad meal here, and there are many free coffee to go with your meal. The service is excellent as it is a small place, and the owner is the cook. Bring CASH as this the only catch at low prices.

It is an excellent small quiet place to eat. Friendly staff.
