Bidra med feedbackA very standard Chinese restaurant. Has a lot on the menu, and some of them are or can be made vegan. Both soup and vegetables with tofu and rice were fine, but nothing more. On the positive, it is relatively cheap and the staff is nice
We tried the vegan cucumber sushi and roasted rice with vegetables (request without egg for a vegan option), as well as tofu with sauce. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.
The restaurant offers a decent selection of vegetarian dishes and a small but adequate variety of vegan options. The food is not gourmet, leaning towards being fatty and salty. However, this is reflected in the low prices. The restaurant has ample seating and a charming, albeit slightly sticky, decor. The service is good and the staff is helpful in guiding you towards vegan options.
Mr. Chen is my top choice restaurant in Zagreb. It's roomy, air-conditioned, with friendly staff, and most importantly, the food is superb. My usual order consists of 3 Hosomaki rolls (with cucumber and/or daikon) and a main dish with tofu. I alternate between ma-po tofu and tofu with bamboo shoots and Chinese mushrooms (shiitake). The only downside is that the dough for the fried fruit is not vegan, so the only dessert option is a lychee compote.
Very good food and friendly service. (primary) very good food and friendly service.
