The fish was superb fresh and delicious, crispy outside, soft and juicy inside. Our waitress, Jocie, was cheerful, friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back! Update: we came back again two weeks later to try some more dishes. They were all great I particularly liked the chile rellenos, while my wife loved the chicken stew! Update 04/25/2022: We came back again today and tried the fish and chile rellenos again today. Both were divine as always.

The staff was amazing! The food was delicious! And it was inexpensive. Highly recommended!

Stopped by the area for lunch and had their melon agua frescha along with their Huevos Rancheros breakfast. Filled me up to the brim. Super satisfying no-hassle little eatery and decently priced!

A very good small diner. I was not particularly familiar with Guatemalan food, but on my three trips here, I have enjoyed something different from the menu each time. Good service. The prices are reasonable, and the decor is functional, not fancy. A good spot for a bite if you're in a group of two or four and would like try something that is definitely not chain food. A real asset to Downtown Ypsi.

Encuentro Latino is AMAZING!!! I was looking to get carryout and I can’t say enough about how good the food was. My husband and I tried the Crispy Chicken Tacos appetizer, Churrascos Garnachas. I can’t wait to go back try another entree!
