Go! Ice Cream - Ypsilanti

The sign on the door says the restaurant is closed indefinitely, which is really disappointing.

This place is absolutely fantastic. They make things from scratch like everything from scratch. They only have a few flavors, but the combinations that they create with those flavors and all of the toppings really certainly gives you a variety to cover every kind of taste bud that you might have for Ice Cream. I really appreciate that. They have some staples and rotating flavors. I usually get the peanut butter chocolate sauce in a waffle bowl. Everything I've had here has been super amazing and the staff was friendly. The downside of this is that it's been a rough part of town right by the bus station so I would definitely enter through that alley entrance to avoid the congestion and mayhem that may be on the main street in front of it. Ypsi can be gritty in this area definitely is. But this ice cream oh my God totally worth the drive and totally worth calling through whatever you need to to get inside and get some of that deliciousness.

This restaurant has the potential to be great, but unfortunately it falls short. My two sons had a good time and enjoyed their ice cream. My husband ordered the chocolate sorbet, which was so rich and intense that it was almost too much to eat. I never thought there could be such a thing as too much chocolate, but this was borderline. The staff was not unfriendly, but they seemed indifferent towards us. They took our order, prepared it, and handed it to us without any small talk, suggestions, or warmth. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely didn't leave us feeling better than when we arrived. Isn't the point of going out for ice cream to have a pleasant experience? Maybe we just caught them on an off day. We may give it another chance in the future.

Homemade, great flavors and mix ins. Good to-go selections. Polite staff. Cute little place.

The chocolate sorbet tastes like brownie batter and is very thick and creamy. All the flavors were good that we tried. It's a cute place. Friendly service.
