4 stars for the store; it's small, but they have enough stuff for you to come by. 5 stars for the post office between the store and the grill. It can be the smallest existence, but it processes a mountain of packages. Just ask Postman Mike and he'll tell you. The food is not the best, but it gets the job done if you are hungry and you are likely. Standouts are the veggie chili and the bacon and ei biscuit. Fries are also good. I didn't have the burger, but I think it's pretty good because I saw many others with burgers in my hand. The staff is always beautiful.
Surprisingly decent tasting for the food in Yosemite. Working in high season. Long line, out of the door, but very fast moving. All employees moved quickly, especially the chefs. Credit card machine was very slow. Several picnic tables outside. Main business next door. Very PCT Wanderer friendly area.
A Burger and Pommes after a long day of hiking is magic! Be ready to wait in the line and when they close, close them. So make sure you don't get to 5pm or 459pm. Bonus: Take beer from the store next door and eat at the picnic benches in front.
Location, location, location. At the end of 35 miles on the trail their burgers and steak fries taste amazing. After driving there, not as much. They close at 6:00, right when you want to eat, and the prices are high for what you get, but they are in the right place.
