Dakotas - Yorkville

I really want to like this place but I find it mid at best. Just because they serve large portions (montana burger, pretzel tot app, etc) doesn’t mean they’re actually tasty and good. YMMV took them a good 15 minutes to bring me my old fashioned. Got the tres gringos app and 90 seconds later our main showed up. I’m kinda done here

First time here! We will be back! Even though we weren't asked if we wanted desert and it was my birthday-the after Christmas tree crowd was coming in

We were very pleased with our outstanding service! The food was delicious and more than we could eat! The ambiance was great!

This was my second time giving Dakotas a try. Chips were stale. French fries were cold.  Barbecue chicken salad with crispy onion straws was a giant scoop of hot shredded chicken, with slimy withered lettuce underneath with no crispy onion straws. It was basically a hot disgusting bowl of sludge. Not a salad. Cookie skillet for dessert was burnt all around. The server was nice but if I were her, I would’ve been embarrassed to bring these dishes to my customers.

Don't bother. I so wanted to like this place. None of the food was hot, smash burger was very overcooked and not one of the entrees contained all of the ingredients described in the menu.
