Dockside On York Harbor

Our server has hardly told us more than 10 words. she didn't greet us or imagined us. she asked us for a drink and we had no menu yet. she wasn't excessively rude, but certainly wasn't friendly. the crab cakes were so angry. had no scratch at all. my salat came without dressing and when I asked the server for some, she said: "I wasn't sure what they wanted, so I just brought them caesar." she stabbed her and went away before I could answer. the salat was on the special card and should have honey lemon vinaigrette. it helps her 20 minutes to take the card for billing at the end, and she did not offer us farwell or gave any display of thanks. If that was good, I could overlook the service, or vice versa, but in this case both were not great.

Our favorite Maine restaurant by far. We were seated on the screened porch with its amazing view of the boats in the harbor. Our meals were perfectly prepared. Julie, our server, was wonderful and very attentive. A very nice afternoon.

Waitress was clueless and non-communicative food was pretty good but not exciting

When we first arrived the whole restaurant was pretty much empty and they sat us next to two family’s with wild animal children. We asked us to be moved and the hostess was annoyed with us and tried to tell us that the restaurant was basically reserved. I told them that I would wait then because I refuse to pay to sit in a place like that table next to the family.

Four out of the five meals were good. The fish was extremely overcooked. the Duck outstanding! I believe the fish was a special so perhaps that added to the problem. Everything else was great.
