Diana's Oyster Bar - York

I've been here for years. Decided to go a buck with the family and was welcomed and sitting just to find out that cuck is now available only Mondays and donsday to 4:00, and the prices were recently...significantly increased. The same meal that... cost me $200 $250 for a family of 5, now cost me $550 (yes, that's what I paid), which was a now obligatory tip that in my case was $75. Honestly, what annoys me is that its the same menu EXACT same, so I just feel torn out. Oysters are fresh and delicious as always.

We always liked Diana in Scarborough, but we thought Markham would try a BIG mistake. Our oysters, although large, fresh and very tasty, came with sand and broken shell. Where were all fabulous sauces? Instead we got a pinch of horseradish and a small amount of cocktail sauce. We had to ask for hot sauce. As for the rest of the meal, it also had high points and low points. The Chowder was hot and full of shells, but the shells were chewing. The lobster sandwich was a great disappointment that the rabbit was carburized and hard as a rock as well as cold. It should have been soft and buttery, but everything I could taste was burned. The high note was the Caesar salad! I don't usually eat them, but that was delicious. The server was particularly bad. She didn't listen, couldn't have been less interested that I wasn't satisfied with my meal, and just seemed like we were a presentation. We were not demanding, but there was little effort at all on their part. I have never received a 'I'm sorry' when I complained about the meal, nor did she even obey to let the management know. They would think during this time, they would be happy that we even harassed the restaurant. Generally, there was no gratitude for our patronage. No thanks, as we have gone, in fact no confirmation (even if the host was right at the door). Almost $100 for lunch (no alcohol) and it was really a disappointment. We can't return to the Markham site soon.

It was a late afternoon that we decided to have oysters for afternoon snack. The restaurant was quite empty. Your menu offered a wide selection of oysters. Oysters was super fresh. Clam Chowder was also good, came with many shells and potatoes. Service was... good and restaurant was super clean. Very recommended.

Wait for 30 minutes for a basic pasta. The appetizer came at the same time as my entree... 30 minutes later. Never apologised for slow service waitress was no place to see and asked us how the food was once our plate was empty. Talk about amazing service! Would definitely come back to others if you want a slow service. We expressed some concern about our meal to our waitress with the quality of one of our main courts and was reacted with an unanswered answer without a resolution.

My family and I came to this restaurant for a meal. The oysters were fresh and delicious with a wide variety to choose from. Our server, Ross, did an amazing job explaining the different options. The food was definitely worth it! We started with an appetizer platter and a couple of bowls of chowder, which were served hot and delicious. The appetizer platter was a great starter with a good variety. The red snapper as a main course was surprisingly huge and very tasty, especially with the garlic rice. We finished the meal with a lava cake that had a sparkler and candle, which we requested to make the meal special for our dad's birthday. Overall, we had a great evening and were very happy with everything. Thank you for a lovely night!
