Back here after a while...Dropped by during the busy lunch hour rush... Space is a bit restricted inside with just about enough space between tables for adults to walk through...Got seated right away... Beware if you're going in during the rush hours, seating might be...a tad bit of an issue with couples and/or 2 people taking up a table of 4 to store their jackets, huge female purses, etc... We got the Steamed Lamb Dumplings for $7.99, Stewed Sheep in Hot Pot for $9.99, and the Lunch Special Spicy Beef with Steamed Rice for $6.99... Since we were starving and during the rush hour, the 10min wait for the dumplings seemed like forever... The Dumplings have 15 pieces in an order, which we devoured in just 5mins, I loved them, my girlfriend okay them...The couple seating next to us gave us a weird look...Lol The Hot Pot the Beef with Rice arrived together as soon we emptied the box of dumplings... The Hot Pot had a tad too much Red Chilies, Oil Spice for me, but my girlfriend loved it...!!! The Spicy Fried Beef with Rice didn't feel like a Lunch Special...The quantity was way too little for it to be priced at $6.99, it'd have been fine if it was a mall food court restaurant, but not here... Overall, we loved it here, and we'll back...!!!

I initially found this place by accident and have gone back many times. The dumplings are made fresh at the counter as you walk in and they are all delish. My favourite are #125A which are a pan fried pork and leek. Kung Pao Chicken...is fresh and the chicken is so tender! Crispy sweet and sour pork is stuff dreams are made of! English is limited and the place is small so it fills up fast but turnover is pretty quick and you don't wait long, they only take cash!! Lastly...it is SUPER CHEAP!!! Two people can eat their fill for under $20

This is a small place in a Chinese strip mall. If busy, you will line up out the door and park in the far lot. It will feel cramped and noisy, so not really a place for a date or business. Service is poor. The...person that looked like the owner or in charge did not look like he cared much about customer service since the restaurant has more than ample business. He was busy chatting with one table for 5 minutes before taking my order I had indicated I was ready to order by waving the menu in the air (note that no other wait staff took my order either). I had to ask for ice water twice as he forgot the first time. When asking for the bill and a take out box, the lady server acknowledged me however she went ahead and looked after 2 other tables before telling the cashier to ready my bill and get a take out container. On the flip side, this place offers a wide variety of Chinese food including traditional/authentic dumpling and spicy dishes. The even have fish and seafood. Prices are very reasonable: $7 10 fried rice, $7 10 fried noodle, dumplings steamed $6 for 12, pan fried dumplings $5 for 6. Interesting dishes include lamb and sheep, with a variety of spicy dishes too. Definitely try the dumplings (pan fried or steamed) and the onion pancake tasty good! Would have given a full five star rating if service not so bad. As long as you don 't expect 5 star service, good decor and intimate ambiance/environment but do expect good food and value, Chinese Dumpling House will hit the spot.

My family and I decided to dine at CDH based on online reviews. It is an amazing restaurant with visibly prepared food, traditional decor, and reasonable prices. The food was delicious. Although I've had better sour soup at other places, this version was decent. The dumplings were very hot inside - my friend even burned his lip and chin from the piping hot liquid inside. The lamb dumplings were especially tasty. My son loved the sweet and sour crispy fish and sweet tofu dumplings. My friend enjoyed the deep-fried swirl and chive pancakes.
