Bidra med feedbackWarning! Do not use their debit machine as it declined both of my debit cards. I checked with my bank and there was no issue with my cards. This restaurant does not accept credit cards, so be prepared to pay with cash only. It seems like a way to avoid paying taxes.
This establishment was highly recommended by people knowing our crave for genuine good food. The first impression was not good as we were seated at a corner with three tables, one of which was already commissioned by servers as a working table (presumably the kitchen was so full of other stuffs that the workers had to do the final stage of cleaning all eating utensils in the dining area right before our eyes). Then the food quality, despite trumpeting from our source, not up to standard. The Hainan Chicken meat was dry, no juice. The Oven Pork Chop rice, not enough tomato taste. To make our dinner even worse, the Pastry Lobster Bisque (which we ordered by paying a premium) completely contradicted the boasts from the restaurant - the pastry not crispy, after opening the cover, there was a thick jelly-like lump in the middle of the soup which one had to stir well to dissolve it; and bits of artificial crab meat tasting like wet bread. After the meal, we took a little time touring the strip mall. One cannot help the feeling of a bit run-down. We departed and did not look back.
Terrible service! Servers neglect everything you ask. No eye contact, no smile, no responses. They don't treat you as guests. They don't care whether you will come back or not. Go if you just want to fill your stomach.
Good for lunch, or breakfast, very busy, food is tasty, but don't expect excellent service coz they are always short of workers
Closer to a 2.5 Quality and value has went significantly downhill for Blue Ocean and it pains me to update this review for my go-to HK style cafe. Prices
