Red Lobster - York

Don't normally do chain restaurants but we were here for niece's prom dinner, we sat separately : Anyway it's been 20yrs since I've eaten here. Place was nice and clean, service was great, food was good, no complaints and pleasantly surprised.

Haven't eaten at a red lobster in 6 years because of the quality, price, etc. Decided to give it another try. Was hungry for it and had a $10 off. Well this will be the last. The prices are insane, they didn't have crab Alfredo according to server but I always ordered it before even if not on menu. After ordering we didn't see server for 30 minutes. We had no refills. Finally we got refills. Server said she was in kitchen wrapping silverware into napkins. Why is our server doing that?Shouldn't be her job. Finally 45 minutes later food came. She said I'll be back to check on you. Never happened. Again no drinks. I needed more cocktail sauce. My wife finally went up to hostess station. She brought us drinks and sauce. Finally server came and asked if we needed anything. Said hostess is taking care of it. Again she said she's doing silverware. She came back this time in 2 minutes to get my money. I said i wasnt ready yet. Left money on table and left. Never again. You can fool me once but not twice. Food was average at best, tiny portions. Baked potato was tiny. Shrimp scampi were tiny. Cheddar rolls were good, that's it.

Saturday evening, a friend and I went to dinner at Red Lobster. We both ordered a LB of crab legs, and a salad each. The crab legs were very watery, cold and just not appetizing. Our salads (basic house salad) not good at all. I am not sure how you mess up a house salad but over all it just was not good! We asked for wet wipes for our hands and ironically they were warmer than our crab legs. Our server was very nice and attentive, so nothing against the service. The food was not it. I do not recommend going to this location. I am not sure what happened over the years but this is not it. I don’t think we will ever be back.

Went out for a Valentine's Day dinner on Monday night in hopes to avoid the holiday crowd, that was definitely not an issue this night! The menu was disappointing for me as the fish selection was very poor. I would rate my fish dinner as fair. You no longer get a salad with your meal. Big difference from the way it used to be before the pandemic for sure. Servers were not impressive! We will not be returning. Not worth the money.

If you’re looking for good food and GREAT service this is the place to be, ask for Cherri for the server!! She is VERY friendly and efficient! My kids and I went on Christmas, had her and Every thing was fantastic. She kept bringing refills of biscuits and drinks with out us asking, she even had candy canes for my kids, which they loved!! I can’t say enough great things about this place and their service especially on a Holiday.
