Masa - York

The sushi at this restaurant is fantastic. I would give it a 5-star rating, but the service from the wait staff is unfortunately rude and they tend to rush customers out of the restaurant.

Simply amazing. The sushi here is top-notch. I usually come alone for lunch or an early dinner after work, and the service is always quick and welcoming.

I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I used to frequent it often, but when I returned on a Wednesday evening, I found it to be empty. The cleanliness of the dishes and silverware was questionable - the soy sauce dipping bowl was sticky and the forks and spoons were dirty. Despite the prompt service, the food was not up to par. My salad had a strange cigarette aftertaste, which I found baffling. My daughter's chicken fried rice was also disappointing - she likened it to the taste of wet dog, and upon trying it myself, I could tell something was off. I was unable to finish my meal as a result.

Menu has a lot to choose from. Apps, sushi, rolls, dinners, and Yaki style noodles. They put a lot of pride in their food.

I?ve been meaning to write a review here for months because I?m pretty sure I?ve ordered from here about 20 times or more in the past year. They are so good, the first time I came was pre-covid and we sat down and ordered sushi for two. This was perfect,our service was fast and I remember it was delicious. Since covid, we?ve been ordering takeout (especially the maki lunchspecials because they?re so affordable for the quality! and we haven?t had a bad experience in the many many times we havegotten food from here. Masa is the best sushi restaurant in York, hands down. It is my absolute favorite, especially because theservers are so nice! And their Covid precautions are great, basically no-contact takeout. I will probably never stop cominghere.
