The Doghouse - York

Great find. Fabulous hotdogs selection. Received a pager to notify us when our order was ready. Lovely shaded area on a hot day. Great food and attentive staff.

A friend recommended this charming little restaurant to us. My boyfriend ordered the pork hotdog, while I opted for the venison. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was a short wait for my venison sausage to be ready, but they provided me with a buzzer and the seating area was shaded, which was much appreciated on a hot day in York. The prices were reasonable for the city center, and they also offered a simple hotdog option with ketchup that seemed to be a hit with kids. The portions were generous and I even snuck a taste of my boyfriend's pork hotdog, which was tasty, but I personally preferred the venison with cheese. Overall, a great dining experience!

I stopped by this restaurant and tried a couple of hot dogs, and they were fantastic! The hotdogs were delicious and they offered a variety of relishes and fillings to choose from. The staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent with no wait time!

My daughter and I were lucky to grab the last hotdogs of the day, and they were delicious. We were grateful to have made it just in time before closing. The woman working there was also very nice. Thank you for accommodating us at the last minute.

We walked around the market for somewhere to eat and found The Dog House. The menu was very inviting with a lovely range of Hot Dogs and a hamburger too. The ladies behind the counter greeted us with big smiles, were very helpful and so friendly. We both agreed the hot dogs we chose were the best we’d had in a long time. We’ll definitely be going there again as the Hot Dogs at The Dog House are too good to resist. We both highly recommend them.
