Great place, always warm and welcoming, the staff are the same and the eating is delicious and very filling, can not recommend enough

GreAt bar. Especially when you go with your girlfriend and order 2 carvery Sunday roast. Normally we would be left wanting for more...but our plates were so well stacked that I was beaten by a remaining portion of the huge st Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen, and my girlfriend was forced to leave some roasties! I would go back again if i was in york and wanted the best sunday roast. Id probably go back again anyway as it is set on the river and a great place for a drink.

What a fab bar , food was sooo good , staff really friendly, nothing was too much trouble , they got our party a birthday ballon and banner , thank you guys , just incase we didn't mention it on the night x, wouldn't hesitate to recommend plonkers X

The food was awesome! We had a chicken and a steak hanging kebab with chips, followed by a huge jam roly poly with custard and chocolate fudge sundae! A few Kraken dark rums, Tiger beer and white wine lemonade for the wife... Brilliant night! We only wish we'd registered for the Pub Quiz as we got most of the questions right!

After an amazing day food was needed and with 2 children a lot of places won't let you in over the weekend but the staff were amazing finding a table for 4 adults, a 7 year old and a 1 year old and everything that comes with them the food was amazing and big portions it was great a must for anyone visiting York
