Lucia - York

We went here on the evening of our wedding day and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating in making our day even more special. No request was too much for them, and the food was excellent in both variety and taste. Definitely worth a visit.

So many vegan options, much better than the standard offerings you get at a regular Italian! Decor is super cute too. We sat outside in the sun and it was delicious. Strong recommend!!

Fancy-feeling Italian style restaurant with a variety of vegan options and a nice drinks menu including cocktails and mocktails

During my two day trip in York I visited Lucia on both evenings! It was so nice the first day that my Mum and I had to return before we went home! From the cute interior, to the amazing menu and tasty food, to the friendly staff…It was all perfect! They have a very extensive separate vegan menu on offer if you mention that you’re vegan upon arrival. It has a wide range of starters, mains and a dessert option. On the first night my Mum and I both had the pasta option with the courgettes and olives; it was delicious, my mum had that on both evenings! The portions are really decent aswell! Super filling yet great prices for the amount and quality you get! On the second evening I got the Fungi Pizza which was huge and really tasty! The vegan cheese was perfect (as I usually hate vegan pizza because the cheese can be gross). It was so large that I couldn’t finish it! The dough and toppings were lovely. There were so many other things I wanted to try too like gnocchi, ravioli and more! I also had a side of onion rings with my pasta and it was a great portion size and they were lush! Really crispy panic fried; simply delicious! So many vegan side options too! There is only one vegan dessert which is a cheesecake but there’s also an array of ice creams! Staff are so lovely here and the restaurant is so clean and has an amazing vibe! Loved it and would recommend to anyone visiting York; vegan or not! Also, shoutout to our waitress, Sophie, who recognised us and served us both nights; she was lovely! If I could give 5 stars I would!
