Daughter Cafe - York

Waited 20 minutes for a coffee and a hot chocolate. When they arrived, the hot chocolate was lukewarm. Despite there not being a lot of customers and three staff members behind the counter, I was not impressed.

Waited almost an hour for my food this morning after the person I had ordered with received hers in 20. Terrible customer care as I was snapped at quite rudely when I asked if my order was on its way after the long wait. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Rude staff and very very long wait for the food. Was poorly presented on the plate when it did come. Perhaps is understaffed? Don’t go if you haven’t got a free morning, was not the breakfast date I was hoping for. Also very expensive £10.50 for a drink and a breakfast that will take 1 hour to arrive.

The food was delicious and attentive staff. A family run business with excellent service. The prices were reasonable for the area.

A brilliant find for a perfect breakfast and wonderful coffee. We found this place by wandering the streets. You order your food at the counter and it is brought to you. The French toast is delicious and my partner said the scrambled egg was one of the best they had enjoyed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is kept clean and organised. We liked it so much we visited twice for breakfast during our short break

Popped in today after a day of shopping. So many places in york to chose from, but the coffee here was really really great. Service was friendly and the place had a really chilled vibe. Will definitely be back.
