Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Yakima

I'm not from the Yakima area, so I don't come here very often. But it was the last experience that marked an otherwise unique fast food experience I had, and for a place like Popeye it is hard to imagine getting something better than eating that sits a while before it gets picked up. That was not the case with my last visit. I have placed a mobile order online as I was at work and wanted to speed things up. I ordered the steamed chicken box with two biscuits, frits, potatoes and gravy. Upon arrival I was told by the cashier that the smoked chicken is cooked on order. A little inconvenience since I ordered in the app, but okay. Fresh food never hurts. I waited about 7 minutes before the food came. I didn't order a drink and the cashier gave me a free water cup. Had the advantage and instead got ice cream as I already had a drink in my lunch bag. I came to my vehicle and started looking into the box... My hands broke to the bottom of the box! The food was super hot, so delicious and although I burned my tongue on a few bites, it was so worth it! Not only were the secondary dishes amazing, but the ulcered chicken deserves all the glory. It was so juicy, as soft, delicate and tasteful as it. I never had such a chicken in a fast food restaurant. It tasted like real chicken. I was in love! I don't remember how many pieces I got, but I know that, although I was very hungry, I only eat two pieces of chicken, a bunch of fries and the mash pots. I was very full for about 8 hours! This included the rest of my working shift. Not only did I feel better eating chickens that were not fat, but the whole experience made me excited to go back! One thing I'm going to say is that I wish they cooked my food after I gave up my mobile order. I know that defeats the purpose of fresh food, but since I'm always in a hurry at work, it's good enough for us delivery driver to get our food in a dirt. Otherwise I'll be back!

(5 April 2022 4.5 Stars This location has been open 4 years. I have not been here for 3.5 years because I did not like the taste of the food (to spicy or the service. This is the only Popeyes I have ever been to. Today, My father I returned to this location to try an advertised special. In all the ways we both did not like this brand before (and often talked about those dislikes as we deprive by looking for a place to stop and eat lunch together we were HAPPILY surprised by the new way we felt about the place. I was able to get mild chicken that was also very juicy (before dry and WAY OVER spiced. The fries were fresh and crisp. Dad had the shrimp special, he enjoyed very much, the coleslaw was good as well. The staff we had interactions with were happy, friendly, accurate and fast. WE BOTH HAVE CHANGED OUR OPINION OF THIS BRAND TODAY, AND WILL ADD IT TO OUR PLACES TO GO. My only draw back is the lack of condiments for the meals. The advertisement showed Cocktail sauce for the shrimp special (as well as the mobile app , and the picking slip said it was on the tray for dine in. It was not. I saw two people come in from the drive thru with the same problem (no Cocktail sauce. I heard the drive thru staff member say if they do not ask for it, how am I supposed to know they want it . Also, no ketchup available to pick up in the lobby for the fries. No butter in the lobby for the biscuit either. You have to wait in line to request some from the cashier. I wish they would have asked offered the Cocktail sauce, butter and ketchup when giving us our meal. Would have made things better. Will return

Friendly staff, food was made fresh and fast. Busy in the drive thru but I never felt ignored. Lobby was clean, baby chair could've been cleaner... Took time to say goodbye to my one year old, first time and loved it.

Usually very good. Occasionally I’ll find an item or two missing in the bag, but in the app there is an easy way to get a refund, so it’s not that bad. It has been good lately, and I usually do a mobile order.

I usually don't write reviews on fast food restaurans but considering the fact , that times do get busy with work and kids school life to have a home cooked meal , So recently we had went out on a quest to find some good chicken. Does KFC have anything that's good anymore worth serving ? The honest to truth answer is NO! Well at least the KFC off 40th and Summitview WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT... BUT NONETHELESS WE DO HAVE ..... POPEYES CHICKEN!!!!.... Even being at this establishment a handful of times and yes they do occasionally mess up our orders but even when they do , we seem not to get mad just for the fact the chicken there is tender and juicy both mild and spicy! 50% of the time they always throw in a few extra pieces in the family meals always a bonus , Even the classic chicken sandwich offers up a good tasting fulfilling meal not once have we had a dried sandwich from Popeyes , bring us to the sides the GRAVY AND MASH POTATOES on point especially how they layer the gravy through the potatoes (not like KFC lol next the BISCUITS always rich full of butter flavor nice and warm (if you request fresh BISCUITS there Even better Even the apple pies are beyond full of flavor .... Not so much healthy but oh so delicious. Even for how busy this place can get the employees do always work w positive attitudes especially the shift management who always correct there mistakes.... this is a great place to get a quick bite to eat!!! A solid 3 out of 5
