Morrisons Cafe - Wyre

An excellent choice of meals at very reasonable prices. My favourite is the egg on toast and my better half loves the boiled eggs. The only downside is they only serve thick bread and we both prefer thin bread. If Morrisons could give people a choice, it would be perfect.

Furthermore, there have been instances where certain components of meals have been missing, such as poached eggs, bread, cheese in sandwiches, and biscuits in snack boxes. The staff are not allowed to take items from the shop and are limited to serving pre-cooked poached eggs, which can be frustrating for customers. Despite the affordable prices, the quality and consistency of the meals have been lacking, with changes that do not always benefit the customers. Unfortunately, after enduring numerous issues over many months, my companions and I have decided to stop visiting the cafe.

The cafe provided rude customer service during our visit on 19th June. When four of us entered at 2:45 pm, we were informed that there was limited hot food available as they were preparing to close. Despite this, we ordered a pie with chips, a baked potato, and tea and coffee. However, when our food was served, the pie came with mash instead of chips. After we pointed out the mistake, it was quickly corrected. Unfortunately, a member of the staff interrupted our meal to inform us that the pie is usually served with mash, implying that we had not asked for chips when we ordered. This encounter left us feeling disgusted by her attitude. We were so put off by the experience that we didn't bother to tidy up before leaving. Fortunately, we are only visiting this area on holiday, so we won't have to return to this cafe. Overall, the behavior exhibited by the staff was shocking and unprofessional.

Well done Morrison's. I met your porridge this morning and it exceeded all my expectations. First impressions were amazing. Plump blackberries, huge raspberries drizzled in melting honey on the delicious looking hot porridge. Taste...... Superb, beautifully creamy, words are just not enough!!! Perfect portion size to fill me up for the rest of the day. Well done, I shall return.
