Wow! We haven’t been to Portofino in about a few months for some reason we always seem to visit restaurants in Southgate, but that will not be the case any longer. This place has made huge strides in their service and atmosphere. We used to believe that Portofino was a purely special occasion restaurant. We were surprised to find a relaxed, yet fine dining experience. No dress code required here, but you wouldn’t believe it with the huge wine selection! The prices are very reasonable and the food is much better than purchasing at a chain. The chef 's have really outdone themselves with the new menu and great seafood and steak specials. We tried the Escolar and Mahi Mahi and it knocked my socks off! I can’t wait till we get a chance to go the Comedy Room. Portofino is bringing comedy, fine dining, and good prices back to downriver, and we are really excited about it!
