This location is worth a stop. Grab a glash of wine and chat with the locals and the other visitors and enjoy a great view of the river. If you get hungry go to the restaurant next ot the bride and try their plate of...sausages, potatoes and sauerkrout-great food.

We were told that the bridge is the place to go to have a glass of wine after our tour. We found it at the Alt Mainbrucken. The wine cost from 5 to 7 euros and you put a 5 euro deposit on the glass...so you can go out onto the bridge and enjoy the wine and the view while socializing. This is a unique experience.

Enjoy wine by the glass on this lovely old bridge with a few dozen others. The bridge is over the Main River with good views of the Marienberg Fortress and St. Burkard Church. There is not only wine but a bakery that serves, at certain...time of the year, onion cake, a local specialty. Check the names of the people, and symbols, depicted in statues that line the bridge. For wine, go to the take-out window and pay. than one type of wine is available so check the menu board overhead. You pay a hefty price for a glass of wine but a token will be handed over with the wine. Return the empty glass and token for a refund; about half the price you paid.

Do what the locals do.. Walk to the bridge.. enjoy the scenery.. weather.. the people.. everything seems right.. chill weather.. had 2 glass of white wine.. lighten up my day.. Will do it again if I pass by again..

Great place to have a glass of wine in a summer day. You have to put a 10 euro deposit in the glass but you can walk up and down the bridge with your wine if you want. Deposit is returned when you bring back...the glass. The wine is about 4 euro a glass and it is a large pour. We loved it!!!!!
