Ounce Kitchen - Worcester

Visited on a number of occasions with friends and family and have been very satisfied with food and staff, hence repeated visits. Had a disappointed experience with my partner and grandson awhile back but gave it another go on NYE which was fab. Unfortunately we visited today, not busy only four tables. We waited over 50 minutes for our food. The food was nice. Pricing has gone up so much. The Thursday special is still £30 for two but now you have to purchase chips and salad each which now makes it £42 plus any other extras. That’s one hell of an increase without people realising. Not sure we will return.

Beef exceptional, food ok, teaspoonful of gravy, teaspoonful of horseradish and poor service. We enjoyed the meal but the conversation was spoilt by everyone annoyed about lack of gravy. Trivial maybe but when you ask for more and they charge you £5 extra for the privilege then you feel ripped off. Ask for horseradish and some of us needed to ask three times to get a reasonable amount on our plates. But when you spend £30 on a bottle of wine and the waitress thumps it on the table on her way to do something else then you really do feel let down. The place was rammed with many people hanging around the bar waiting for tables to empty. If this had been our first poor experience at Ounce I’d probably not bother posting but the lack of attention front of house for the third time round has assured it’s our last visit for a while.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Portion size for starters, main and desert were generous. Quality and style of food was excellent. The whole purpose of being here, the steak was second to none. Thoroughly recommended at any time, but especially for the £1 an ounce offer. Could not recommend enough

Highly recommend. The best steak around, I’ve been 4 times and every time the quality is amazing. Even better on the £1 an ounce days a cheap, high quality meal! The staff are really friendly and welcoming too. Great place : !

After hearing so many amazing reviews, we finally visited Ounce and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend and the staff were brilliant too. The £1 an ounce deal is defo worth trying :
