Great home cooked food, great beer and a friendly service. I went to the Alma Tavern during a busy evening. My food was piping hot and delicious. But what really stood out for me was the friendly staff.

I grew up in a village pub and it warms my heart when I find a proper community pub selling good quality and good value food for everyone. We popped in for a meal on a Tuesday afternoon it was so friendly and such a nice warm atmosphere, They have a lot of good stuff going on in this pub and you could tell that everyone was welcome. Cool place. Great vibes. How pubs used to be and should be! James and Christina x

Excellent home cooked food and wonderful service we will definitely be coming back to the Alma tavern again for a meal. Best meal out I have had and staff are extremely friendly and excellent value for money.

We have been meaning to have food here for a while, as we usually go for a drink. It’s typical good pub grub. Plenty of choice on the menu. Lovely cosy atmosphere on a dismal Winter night. Two rounds of drinks, two mains, one side and a dessert for £40. (We took advantage of 25% off on Monday, main menu only). Great to see every table booked, when businesses are doing their best, when costs are increasing. Great to have this as a local, within walking distance pub.
