After a long central MA winter, it was such a treat to share a meal outdoors. Patio seating is well-spaced and umbrellas are large enough to provide real shade when needed and it was. Honest pours fm the bar. Prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant service. Menu is appropriate to the kitchen size and offers good variety. Food preparation and presentation are Shrewsbury St top tier. These people know what they're doing and do it well.
The restaurant was so loud inside that the hostess had to ask us to repeat the number of our party a few times. We opted to sit outside on a cold night because of the level of noise. The waitress seemed to understand that I was a Celiac and gave a few suggestions of safe foods, including checking with the kitchen if a soup contained flour. She gave me a side of fries with my entree, after telling me they aren't gluten free. She offered to put the fries on another plate and bring the entree back (not an option because of cross-contamination) and then told me the fish I ordered has been cooked in with the fires. I had to order another entree and there was no mention of adjusting the bill to compensate for her error. The waitress didn't check back on us, offer to fill replace drinks, or bring us the check until about 20 minutes after all of us had finished our meals.Food was ok at best. Will not be back. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are listed on the menu but I wouldn't recommend for Celiacs. Parking: Wicked difficult to find parking near the restaurant and the only way out of one of the lots is to drive against the arrows, towards incoming traffic.
The food was cooked to perfection. Everything was very well seasoned. It was absolutely delicious. Rick was a great server and the music choices are classic
