Bidra med feedbackDecent Ethiopian food if you live in the SFV and don't want to drive all the way out to Little Ethiopia. This restaurant is hidden in the most random place an office building. There are signs to park next to the restaurant which is easy to miss. We got the vegetable platter.
Great Ethiopian food with great service reasonable price. Traditional Ethiopian coffee was delicious. They also have out side seatings that is very pretty!
Amazing home cooked Ethiopian food that is the best I've had in Los Angeles. I've been to restaurants in Little Ethiopia and the food at White Horse is delicious, healthy and nutritious! I appreciated the care and detail they take in preparing the food. They are very friendly and welcoming. The hot sauces are amazing too! They have a nice area to sit outside or inside too.
It was just kind of a mess on the plate. Green goo, 2-3 kinds of brown water, and 1 beige pile, but it was all on some sort of foam based bread. I dunno what any of it was, and no one told me what it was and the menu didnt really say so I guess you're just suppose to know. But I won't try it anymore. I was done. I think I will just keep returning to what I was going to before and not go here ever again.
My wife I loved this small, hidden Ethiopian restaurant located in Ventura Blvd! If you 're looking for a different culinary experience then I highly recommend giving them a try. Specifically I 'd recommend the Ethiopian Vegetarian Combo which comes with 3 types of lentil curries, a cabbage carrot mixture, collard greens, and tomatoes on top of a large piece of injera, which I guess is the traditional bread of choice for Ethiopians (don 't quote me on that). The injera is very light, airy and almost sponge-like. You can probably request forks and silverware but we decided to go traditional and use the bread to scoop up the food with. Food is spiced very well and each bite leaves my taste buds wanting more! Note: it can be a bit difficult to find this place. But its located in the big white Chateau building in Ventura Blvd. There is a small sign on the street that says White Horse Cafe so look for that. They have street parking for 2 hrs right out front.
