I went to this restaurant last week for a Sunday roast. I had made a reservation, but when we arrived, we were told that they had run out of lamb and other meats. They offered us the trio option, which we didn't really want, but ended up ordering it. The sides we ordered came halfway through the meal and seemed to have been reheated in the microwave. The waiter didn't charge us for the sides, but it was a disappointing way to end the weekend, especially since we were looking forward to the roast. I used to visit this place over 25 years ago when it was just a pub. Maybe it should have stayed that way. I ignored the negative reviews and convinced my husband to give it a try anyway. Unfortunately, the reviews were right. The meal wasn't great at all, and there are definitely better places to go for a Sunday roast. It's also frustrating that they advertise serving until 7pm but run out of food by 6pm. We probably should have just left and found somewhere else to eat.
