Brasserie 292 - Wood River Junction

Charles and his team catered our wedding. It was an incredible experience. The food was excellent and they were true professionals.

Our dinner at Brasserie 292 was a 10. Our appetizers were delicious: we had the grilled octopus and the foie gras parfait. We both had the smoked pork chop and spaetzle special, and that, too, was delicious. This special should really be on the daily menu! The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was delicious as well. The service here was also a 10. Our server Deirdre R was very professional and friendly, and she expertly guided us through the menu and wine choices. We were especially impressed by the attention to detail. The bread was crispy and fresh, and it was accompanied by herbed butter. The chocolate dessert was presented with orange peel and fresh whipped cream topped with shredded chocolate. The coffee was served in warm cups to keep the liquid warm. We don 't live nearby, but we would definitely travel just to eat here again!

Fantastic food and terrific ambience await you at Brasserie 292. This charming brasserie offers a robust menu of standard French bistro classics and a long list of daily specials. The wait staff is well-trained and attentive. Brasserie 292 is our go-to restaurant when in or near Poughkeepsie.

Excellent service and food. We were sat at a two top towards the back in the middle. We would have preferred to be along the wall as we had an early reservation and there were plenty of free tables. We had the buratta appetizer, one of us the schnitzel and the other a swordfish special both were excellent. We finished with a crème brûlée and a peanut butter dessert. Restaurant was nice with subway tile floor to ceiling it had a retro type vibe. Would visit again if in the area.

Always a favorite spot to enjoy an everyday meal or special event. Delicious food (cod special should remain on the menu always! , great service, tasty beverages. What more can you ask for?
