Gasthaus Messmer - Wolfurt

We were here to celebrate Christmas with our great family. this restaurant is definitely one of the best in the opposite and served delicious Austrian traditional good in modern touch. when we came with a big family, so we reserve the place and menu, so here we follow the course. the first is trout mousse with black brot and salmon, its very refreshing and delicious. the Maron soup came with celery foam and piece spicy. the main menu was deer meat cooked in gravur with brot and berry sauce. it was delicious and for dessert we have frozen ice as packed with pancakes like consistency. with the wine selection she was excellent with eating. the ambiente is beautiful and the hospitality is above the top.

My colleague told me very good things about this place and it was only about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel I stayed, so I decided to try it. I found the place was almost full with local not tourist, so that it was already. a good sign. the employees were extremely helpful and they had an English menu and they also sent me a personal who could speak English when I had a question about the menu. the food I chose was from the Austrian traditional section and it was amazing. I got very tendor pork bauch with very crisp skin attack boss and I think it was the best pork I ever had in Europe was reasonable. with two tassen koks, I think I paid about 30 euro location is also perfect 10 minutes to foot from the beautiful sea. but from bregenz city area it would take more than 30min to foot, so they need to take bus or taxi or bicycle. My customer took me here and I didn't know we had crossed into Austria until they mentioned it. So I had to have wiener schnitzel. Proper fresh Veal Schnitzel. very nice. We sat in the lovely courtyard. Also great service.

Prices a little high and selection limited. Asked for a English menu which they had however only part of the German menu had been translated. Would not go here again a very nice outdoor private setting which was relatively cool on a hot summer evening..

Hier zum allerersten Mal eine Warnung. Neue Pächter, Küche noch übler. Salate aus der Konserve im Sommer, einfallslose Karte, seltsames Personal und ein furchtbares Ambiente. Achtung, grossräumig umfahren und den nächsten Pächter abwarten...
