Bidra med feedbackFrom New Haven Hesitation to Baked Shrimp Sensation! I must confess, I 've never been a devotee of the New Haven pizza scene, modern icons like Pepe 's, Bar, and Sally 's just didn 't win me over. But when a local Wolcottnite, my trusty barber no less, pointed me toward New Haven Pizza in Wolcott, curiosity got the best of me. The promise of their top selling masterpiece, the Baked Stuffed Shrimp Pizza, beckoned me in. Stepping into the pizzeria, I felt an unexpectedly cool vibe, with their stylish ovens adding an extra layer of intrigue. As I carried my treasure to the car, a tantalizing aroma filled the air, making the short drive feel like an eternity. Opening the box was like unveiling a hidden treasure, and it was immediately clear this was a different breed of pizza. Gone were the Italian and Greek influences that usually come with New Haven pies. Instead, this pizza was in a category of its own. The first bite was nothing short of a revelation I was hooked. A large pie nearly vanished as I enjoyed 3/4 of it myself, and the only pause was to appreciate its delightful salty notes. The shrimp, succulent and plentiful, were elevated by the tantalizing stuffing, which carried a delightful hint of lemon. Now, I won 't pretend that I didn 't wake up in the middle of the night with a sudden thirst, leading to a half gallon water chugging session. But it was a small price to pay for the culinary delight I 'd experienced. This, my friends, is the kind of pizza that shatters preconceptions and elevates taste buds to new heights. So, whether you 're a New Haven skeptic like me or a dedicated pizza aficionado, New Haven Pizza in Wolcott is a game changer. The Baked Stuffed Shrimp Pizza is not just a pie; it 's a journey into uncharted pizza territory. A salty, flavorful, and utterly satisfying journey that leaves you reaching for the stars (and a water bottle). Don 't just take my word for it go taste the future of pizza for yourself!
Oh boy! I recently moved from Fairfield County Connecticut to Hartford County, specifically Bristol. I have been looking for a really good pizza joint, I grew up eating great pizza from New Haven to Bridgeport, unfortunately being in Bristol for 6 months I have been disappointed time after time. Well that has ended today! The New Haven Pizza Company in Wolcott is EXCELLENT! Just a beautiful 6 mile drive away. Whenever I try a new place my eyes are always bigger then my stomach and I get excited and really want to try everything on the menu lol. But for my first visit I got a large cheese pizza, half bacon half meatball...I love this pizza! Crust was crisp, sauce is flavorful, plenty of toppings, great mozzarella cheese. Fried mozzarella was incredible...2 big triangles of cheese covered in marinara sauce, this delicious and I will order often. Finally I got a chicken parm on a hard roll...Excellent! Not many places have a choice of a hard roll or grinder roll, I had to get a hard roll because when I worked in New Haven I got that for lunch almost everyday. Will get this again. Unfortunately I didn't see any deserts on the menu otherwise I would have gotten something sweet. Trust me when I tell you if you like New Haven style pizza or NY style pizza, you will love this place. Thank goodness I don't live next door to this place or I'd weigh 500 pounds. Enjoy!
Great pizza and apple salad is amazingly good. Best in the area. Def recommend for all in the area.
Great menu for dine in and amazing daily pizza specials. Super friendly wait staff and fast service! Never disappointed! We got a lasagna pizza with ricotta, meatballs and sausage. Had an order of calamari to share which had peppers and Gorgonzola. Light batter and fresh!
Their pizza and pasta is delicious and they have a lot of food option for the picky people! There service is pretty good too.
