The Terrace RHS Garden Wisley - Woking

Excellent overall but I’ve marked it down for one reason. That was when I was served my starter and a female staff member asked “is this yours” in a blunt and unfriendly manner. The male waiter was great.

I dined with a friend yesterday (for the first time in the Wisley restaurant) I ordered the fish and chips as a main and she ordered the sausages and mash as a main ... I had to ask for new chips as they were cut so thick that they weren't cooked the replacement portion were the same ... and my friend's sausages needed to be pan fried to colour them they looked pale and unappealing. The waitresses were lovely and efficient and friendly and the restaurant itself is beautifully furnished by the chefs need to make sure the food goes out perfectly.

The meals presented were not as stated on the menu. Items missing on the salad, chips were a straight fry and hard in the middle. Menu stated hand made tartare sauce, it was not. This is out of character for the restaurant, having eaten there before, so hope it was just an off day for them.

We wanted to give this restaurant a perfect 5-star rating, but we had to deduct 1 star for the food. The main reasons for this were the limited menu options and the disappointing thrice-cooked chips, which were too thick and not crispy. Despite this, we were two very satisfied customers!

Our experience at The Terrace Restaurant was fantastic. The service we received from the moment we walked in was exceptional - all staff were polite, friendly, and had a smile on their face. The food we ordered was well-presented, and the portions were generous. The flavors were absolutely delicious. We never felt rushed during our meal. I wish The Terrace Restaurant all the best and look forward to returning in the future.
