Bidra med feedbackVisited the Plough last month for a drink before heading out for dinner, and 3 weeks later I receive a parking charge for parking in the pub car park! Warning signs are not at eye level and in the dark are not visible! We were NOT informed whilst we ordered drinks, that we should sign our car in if we had parked. Which I believe is poor treatment of your customers! Called and spoke to the miserable manager, who advised me to show proof of drinks purchase to the parking company when I appeal! Which made no difference at all! As today I am paying a £60 fine! I will not be giving my custom anymore to a greedy owner, who has no common decency for his/hers customers! I have warned many people especially, our wide range of friends family who visit frequently and they won't be giving you custom either. Thank you very much for taking money from a already struggling family due to loosing jobs through the pandemic!
Just got a new manager in the pub, Dave and his wife, been here one week, great food on Sunday, lots of bookings for this Sunday and has really turned the pub around good beer also. The management have now decided to move him on? What a disgraceful way to run a pub and really let customers down!
Finally get a landlord who has turned this pub around in a week and the management move him on?? It 's clearly got a revolving door for landlords, there have been too many, and poor, over the last few years. The management , if u can call them that, are clearly hell bent in running this pub into the ground. I feel another closure coming on!
I have been here on a few occasions now since January and the staff seem friendly and accommodating . The garden has been extensively upgraded and is pleasant, quiet and comfortable. The beer is kept well, with a rotation of guest beers. However I have not been tempted to try the food yet as the landlord, by his general appearance does not suggest a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen. He is friendly and personable , he engages well but his appearance is poor and unkempt . If landlords want to welcome people in to drink and hopefully eat, a high level of personal appearance can help enormously. If they are front of house they need to dress and present themselves accordingly. I shall still continue to use the pub but shan't be eating there unless things change .
New landlord, been in pub 2 weeks now. Much more civilised than the old incumbent. Just started doing Sunday lunch again. The food was excellent and great value for money. Keep it up Tom.
