Shake Shack First National Building Downtown Detroit

The staff were so nice it made me feel like a VIP! The food was delicious, what goes in the food's ingredients really do matter and these guys know how to do it right! The yummy bite size chicken pieces were big and a great value! The milkshake was perfect just like it's price.

This is a relatively new Shake Shack in this area. I have to put forward and admit that I 'm not the most avid Shake Shack person, I like Five Guys more. But I 'll try to be fair in my review. This branch is nicely spacious. It 's broken in 3 main areas: 1) food ordering area, 2) main seating area, and outdoors seating area. The space of the food ordering area is the best I 've seen for restaurants in this category. It 's big and open yet very welcoming. It also has some bar seating. The main seating area is also spacious and open with booths, semi-booth, and table seating. The outdoor area is also big and nice, but was empty due to the cold weather. There are no wall but all windows, which gives it an amazing open and natural feel. Now to the food. We ordered a single shakeburger, double shakeburger that was lettuce wrap, 10-piece chicken bites with side of BBQ sauce, fries, chocolate milkshake, and pomegranate yuzu lemonade. All was around $50. The food was good and delicious. Again not my favorite but fairly good. In fact, it 's among the best Shake Shack burgers I 've had in this chain of restaurants. The same applies for fries... they were fresh and crispy on the outside but soft and hot on the inside. The yuzu in the lemonade was evident and I like that, but I think it was too sweet. The milkshake was perfectly mixed, but I would have liked it to be more chocolaty. Chicken bites (aka nuggets) were real and unprocessed chicken white meat. They were lightly coated with a crispy hot batter. I wasn 't impressed, but I still they 're worth it specially if your kids like chicken nuggets and you want to give them a better quality meat. Overall I would recommend this place if you like Shake Shack, you like quality burger, and you like a kids-friendly place that is more or less COVID-appropriate.

This place is okay at best. It is overpriced I think Wendy's cheeseburger deluxe is a dollar and the same size as shake shack's burger at $5.49. The Food was warm,the cheese fries were cold with a clump of cheese in the middle. Everything is sold separate so it gets expensive it's definitely not worth the price. I definitely would not eat here again unless it's the only food within a 50 mi radius. The only thing I wasn't disappointed in was the black and white milkshake It was the only thing that tasted good price of a milkshake is $5.49 and extra for whipped cream. The trash can was overflowing so we couldn't clean up properly. If Google had half stars I would give it 2.5 at best.

Loved it! Great parking, quick service and friendly staff. We ordered root beer but it was out, so we were given extra wooden forks for our cheese fries. The ketchup dispenser was broken so they gave us packets as a replacement.

They never notified me that my food was ready. I waited five minutes after the five minutes it said to wait before coming in, because i realized they must be busy. I went in to find my food there the entire time without a single text notification. when i got home to eat it, they messed up my order as well. terrible service for such weirdly pricey fast food. And they put next to no avocado on my nearly $10 burger?
