Churchill's Fish Chips - Witham

Worst cod chips we've ever had. The place has gone so far downhill it's reached the bottom. The cod chips was absolutely disgusting. The cod was horrible the chips way undercooked, they were hard in the middle. It all went in the bin after one mouthful. The staff especially the girl who served us, need lessons in customer service. We wasted £20, we've learnt our lesson. Never ever again.

We turned up at 9pm on a Friday night. Worst pie I have ever had, tiny piece of haddock, and chips that were almost certainly cooked at lunch time. Did I mention that it was cold and for what we had, vastly overpriced. Absolute rubbish. Go to the Chinese next door.

Front counter service has improved but still onus appears to be towards online orders taking preference over customers who come in off the street. Food nearly always good, nice to be greeted by a few happier faces behind the counter too.

Forgot about the review below so there I was again. Madness ordered large Cod and chips. The fish was way over cooked and sadly undersized. The chips were cold and soggy. Never again. The worst steak pie and chips every. Chips come in a thousand pieces your lucky to get a whole chip. The S&K pie had as much flavour as cardboard.
