Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant is a charming old-fashioned pub with very friendly staff. However, the food doesn't taste homemade, and it seems like it may have been reheated. The chips were standard, cheap, and greasy, and the desserts appeared to be store-bought. I've paid lower prices at local gastropubs where everything is freshly made and cooked. Despite only three other tables being occupied, "reserved" signs were on every table. It's a shame because the restaurant has the potential to be a hidden gem in a beautiful area.
Overly priced with the atmosphere of an Ankh Morpork river. £5 for a larger shandy, £7 for for a pint of coke and a pint of lemonade. Was going to eat but at these bar prices I wasn’t going to line the pockets of the owners. Shan’t be returning.
Lovely Sunday lunch we enjoyed it that much we’ve booked for Christmas Day Bring on Christmas Day can’t wait
Second time we tried to visit this pub after a country walk. Depite website and google saying it is open from 12pm we have found it closed with no signs of life around 12. 30 on both occasions. I don't think we will bother trying again. We didnt mind sharing our custom with the lovely ladies at the village coffee shop tucked around the corner in the Village Hall. Seems a very poor show and a great shame as it looks like it could be a lovley pub. I have read that other people have had similar experiences. If you can't be bothered opening at 12 then it would make more sense to advertise the times you wish to be open.
I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The staff was very professional and the food was exceptional - 7 stars! I've already booked a table for next week. It was even better than a home-cooked dinner.
