Bidra med feedbackThe Johnny Pie is a funny old pub, based bang in the centre of Heswall , but never seems to be that busy. In fact it strikes me as one of those pubs whereby, if you're not a regular, everybody stares and you feel uncomfortable. Which is ****? I would definitely say that this is a pub for regulars and certainly a pub that attracts and older crowd rather than a younger one. Regardless of this, the pub has a lovely decor and serves a full spirits bar, as well as lots of draught and bottled beers and a selection of house wines. You have many other pubs in Heswall to choose from though that are friendlier and busier. Pubs like the Devon Doorway and the Glegg Arms, just a ten minute walk up the road! Failing this there is the Black Horse Inn down in lower Heswall, or the Stables!
Not bad for a cheap and cheerful feed prices reasonable bottle of wine £7 service fairly good staff are polite Only trouble with this place its rather an oap pub dont fall over the sticks and zimmer frames when you visit No beer garden as such an enclosed area which over looks the local council car park and heswall bus station There is a small free car park for patrons to
Not a pub of my choice, lot of men drinking and swearing by the bar not my sort of scene. Wouldnt advice to take children here although there is a childrens menu. There seems to be the typical regulars propping up the bar and shouting even though the person they are talking to is standing next to them. Did order fish and chips for our lunch as we had an hour to kill while waiting to go for an appointment, food was average not bad price but very greasy. There is a small car park next to the pub which is normally full then you have to go to the pay and display car park were there are normally plenty of spaces whatever time you go but have to pay.Not a pub i would recommend unless you join the clan at the bar!!!
