East 20 Pizza - Winthrop

We arrived during happy hour so we had to order some discount breadsticks. We also ordered a 16 inch pizza half Bellamini with bacon and half Sweet n Spicy Sausage. I found the sweet n spicy pizza to be more spicy with little to no sweet. It was good but unexpected. Between the two my favorite was the Bellamini. But I think the real winner are the breadsticks. The service was great. Fast to take our order. Service with a smile. And the ambiance was very casual.

Ate here for the first time about a month ago. Wonderful hand-made pies and a modest, fun beer selection to boot.

We stopped by here last year to check out the pizza offerings. This year we ordered a dozen pizzas to close out our wedding celebration weekend. They offer a ton of options including gluten free and you can remove the cheese to make the pizza vegan. The team was great to work with and we will be back next time we are out here. It’s disappointing that our experience hasn’t been great. We had been here a couple weeks ago and picked up a fairly uncooked pizza. To call and then not really get the appropriate service, ultimately we received another pizza but we spoke with someone who didn’t even bother to ask us what we had ordered but told us to come and pick up another one. Then again we go again to give it another try this time with my Wife’s family, we wait an hour, before anyone checks with us after ordering only to be told the ticket was not printed, but they never checked on us during that time. Like is water not normal to refill or after that amount of time or were we not visible in front of the door as they took others their order? would you not stop by? Then the pizza we received was missing sausage, had asked for no olives but it had olives (as it’s being dropped off we are told it doesn’t have olives) and that took about an hour and a half. Our server was nice but again didn’t check on us to refill waters or check after she delivered our pizzas to the table to make sure it was ok? She comped our meal which was kind but what other resolution was there after waiting that long and then receiving wrong or missing toppings on the pizza? Disappointing. I’m sure it’s hit and miss but you may want to consider another option.

A perfect pizza place with great ambiance, we ate out on the deck. Excellent friendly waitress. Great variety of pizzas to choose from and the salads were great too. Get the mud pie and share it! A nice selection of beers on tap. Looking forward to coming back.
