The Tavern On Sheridan

Basic shack looking bar in Winthrop Harbor. It doesn't look like much. The Tavern On Sheridan has great drink prices though. Fun place for watching games. Pretty much that's about all there is it seems. About the drinks. It has tons of specials. These go on throughout the week. Last time it had quite a few. Very cheap stuff. Beers come in bottles or cans. The beers are mostly basic but there's a few crafts though. It was $2.75 for Jaeger. The other specials were this price or not a lot. Good bar. It looks crappy from the outside. The inside isn't a lot better but it has a coziness to it though.

What's not to like? Open until 3am on Friday and Saturday with a wide selection of spirits, wine and beers. The Tavern on Sheridan has the best selection of tequila in Lake County. A great security system does its' job in keeping the criminal element away. The bartenders (Nikki, Jimmy, Christina, Nicole and company) are very friendly and genuinely love being there. The bathrooms are spotless even half way through a Saturday night. If you want food you have a choice of pizza or a soft pretzel. Overall, the Tavern on Sheridan is a great local bar that has been their since the 1940's.

Great local bar. Excellent selection of import and craft beers. Top shelf liquor also. Good service fun nice people
